Quote Terms

A repair/restoration quote includes an itemized list for the total cost of the project discussed during the initial consultation, including the consultation fee, materials costs and labor costs. The customer may request that the quote be revised or cancelled prior to approval.

If the quote is approved by the customer, an identical invoice will be automatically generated with a “Pay Now” option.

Repair work will begin immediately upon approval of the quote. If any additional costs are accrued or additional customer requests are made during the repair process, the existing quote will be closed and a new quote will be generated for approval.

Invoice and Payment Terms

An invoice will include the same itemized list of project expenses as laid out in the associated quote (if a quote has be generated). Payment is due in full when all repair and restoration work is completed. Full or partial payments may be made before the project work is completed and are subject to the same refund policy as when project work is completed. Project items cannot be picked up, delivered or transferred to the customer until full payment is made. If the customer requests work on a project be discontinued before the work is completed, an early termination fee of 50% of the total approved quote will be due prior to release of the project items. If an estimate is approved by the customer and the item(s) found to be unrepairable, the customer will be billed for 100% of any parts ordered plus 50% of the labor costs after the first 30 minutes.

Credit card and PayPal are accepted.

If customer items submitted for a repair quote, that is not approved by the customer, are not requested back, not picked up, or otherwise not claimed within 90 days, despite multiple attempts by Retro Tech Restoration to contact the customer, Retro Tech Restoration may sell, donate, take ownership of or otherwise dispose of the items.

Refund Policy

Every vintage piece of technology is unique in its physical condition and ultimate lifespan. Repairs and restorations for non-new components cannot be guaranteed for any particular length of time.

Any repair, assembly or restoration using newly purchased parts is guaranteed to be fully functional as designed when it is shipped. Any newly purchased part or component which fails within 30 days under normal usage will be replaced at no additional charge.

Return shipping is not covered by this policy.

Retail items and merchandise refunds

New retail and merchandise items purchased from this online shop may be returned at the customers expense for a full refund within 30 days of purchase if they are unused and in the original packaging.

New retail and merchandise items purchased from this online shop that were used and subject to normal wear and tear may be returned within 30 days at the customers expense for a 50% refund of the original retail price.

Prior to returning any item the customer must contact us at info@retrotechrestoration.com with an email describing the issue and what type of remuneration is requested.
